Why  Choose SO GROUNDED™ As Your Homeschool Partner

At SO GROUNDED™, we understand that every homeschooling journey is unique—and that no family should have to do it alone. Our program is designed as a collaborative extension of your homeschool experience, offering teens the chance to learn, create, and grow in ways that enrich and complement what you’re already providing at home.

What makes us different?

  • We center African and Black history, giving teens a powerful foundation of self-awareness and pride.

  • Whole-Teen Approach – Mind, body, and spirit are nurtured through yoga, meditation, herbalism, sewing, and artistic expression.

  • Teens learn alongside peers in a supportive, creative environment that values dialogue, reflection, and collaboration.

  • Families can enroll in our full collective (Tuesday–Friday) or choose workshops individually to customize their teen’s experience.

Choosing SO GROUNDED™ means choosing a partner in your homeschooling journey—a place where your teen is not only gaining knowledge but also confidence, self-awareness, and a deeper connection to community and culture.

1

Homeschool Collective

Our homeschool collective approach to education nurtures the whole teen, mind, body, and spirit. Through cultural exploration, hands-on creativity, and community connection, learners engage in rich discussions, reflective writing, and artistic exploration that deepen their connection to self, history, and community. With an intentional focus on African and Black history, every lesson is a step toward empowerment and awareness.

2

Youth Workshops

These dynamic one-day or short-term sessions are designed to ignite identity, confidence, and voice. Whether it's a self-love circle, art + affirmations, or history through movement, our workshops offer soul food for the next generation. Each experience is packed with energy, healing, and self-expression.

3

Summer Immersion

A limited-space, high-impact summer program where culture, creativity, and consciousness collide. Youth ages 12–16 explore herbalism, culinary arts, meditation, African history, sewing, and more. Every day is hands-on, heart-led, and deeply grounding.
